Blue Coast
The Blue Coast boasts diverse landscapes and interesting historical towns. Along the coast are harbours and salt pans, while inland you can find typical picturesque villages, vineyards and olive groves, all waiting to be discovered and explored.
The Blue Coast is located on the west coast of Portugal and extends southwards from the banks of Lisbon’s River Tagus, down the coast to Vila Nova de Milfontes and inland, to the east of Alcácer do Sal, Grandola and Ermindas do Sado. Costa Azul offers you outstanding natural beauty encompasses the Natural Park of Arrábida, the nature reserve of the Tagus estuary and the Caparica fossil cliffs – together, some 60,000 hectares of protected area – where you can find schools of dolphins play in the water of the river Sado, all bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and offering endless shimmering sandy beaches.
