Area
Lisbon is a true European capital. Its rich historical heritage is evident in its architecture and museums, while modern shopping centres and leisure facilities belong totally in the 21st century. Culture spans exhibitions and galleries, designer shops, classical and pop concerts; wining and dining options range from traditional Portuguese to Michelin star cuisine; and nightlife embraces riverside bars and nightclubs.
After a fire in the 90's, Chiado was restored and became one of the most famous parts of the city, with a colourful, cosmopolitan character. In the Bairro Alto you can find tradition and historic art, theatre and Fado, the traditional music of Portugal.
