Halfway to paradise
Located on one of the most southerly latitudes in Europe, Tróia peninsula enjoys a mild climate with agreeable temperatures all year round. Modern ferries run every 30 minutes, linking Tróia with the bustling town and port of Setúbal. Capital city Lisbon, with daily flights to all major European cities, is an easy 30-minute motorway drive.
Between Rio Sado and the Atlantic
The west coast extends into the Atlantic, the ocean beyond which Portuguese sailors discovered new worlds in bygone times. Broad expanses of beautiful beach and stretches of soft dunes separate ocean from hinterland just as the open delta of the Rio Sado separates Tróia from the mainland. This unique delta is a refuge for cranes and herons as well as numerous species of fish.
